When we looked around Fabrica the other day, we started thinking of ideas to “hide” a big set of doors that are used to bring in the giant exhibitions that are sometimes installed.
I loved Mrs. Pin Cushion’s faux-to booth, and I thought that DIY’ing something like that would be a good way of disguising the doors whilst also providing some entertainment!
My mum really liked the idea, but it was when we were at the wedding fair that we really started to think about it in more detail.
We walked past a GuestStars Fusion Booth and OMG it was hilarious. It had an option to record a message as well as photos, and my dad got in and clicked “message” by mistake. There was a screen on the outside of the booth so we could see what was going on inside, and we thought it would be funny to not tell him of his mistake and watch him sit awkwardly waiting for a photo to be taken.
As soon as he realised he jumped out and pushed me in just in time for the first picture to be taken. He then came in to join me next, followed by my mum, and then by Jack.
Clearly we all found it very funny, and we excited the booth giggling. We all realised in that moment the true entertainment value in a photo booth.
We stopped by another one, Capture Booth, and had a go with that one, too.
I think my mum enjoyed it the most, though. She got out the props and everything.
The quality of the Fusion Booth was much higher, but the price also reflected it. And it wasn’t something we’d budgeted for, so we left feeling confused.
I would love a proper photo booth. Like, I think they’re the most awesome things ever. Faux-to booths are cool, but the real thing is something really special. The lighting is good, it’s all “smooth” and professional looking. And I like the idea of recording video.
Ahhh I don’t know what to do!
So girls, tell me what I should do. Do I go on an eBay selling mission? Sell me the photo booth (or give me good reasons why I shouldn’t bother).
