Keeping Warm

We haven’t really decided what we’re doing for our send-off at the end of the evening, but we do know one thing for certain—we’ll be walking back to the hotel.

It’s a five-minute walk away, so not a journey long enough to warrant a beautiful car. Nor do we really want to get a taxi…plus, walking around Brighton is so us.

The Lanes are beautiful—who wouldn’t want a leisurely stroll down these streets at gone midnight?

So with that decided, I realised that upon leaving our reception we’d hit the cool autumn air. September weather has been pretty good these past few years, so I’m hoping the temperature won’t be too low, but I will probably need a little something to keep the chill off my arms.

Now a part of me wishes it would be cold enough so I could wear a coat or cloak of some kind. Did anyone else drool over DeathByDesign’s cloak?

Ahhhhhh, even now just looking at it, I want one!! Soooo pretty. But no, it will not be that cold in September. I hope. Though we had snow in March this year so anything can happen, I guess.

Still, in the event that we don’t get a blizzard and the temperature remains as predictable as it can be (people laugh at us Brits for always talking about the weather, but seriously—live here for a little while and you’ll soon find out why it’s so interesting), I think I’ll be safe in a cardigan.

But what cardigan, you may ask!

Well, I went out shopping and came across a magnificent find. You see, I thought Monsoon had sold out of these beauties, but I came back with this bag….

Hello there.

The softest, most luxurious fabric I have ever felt. Ohhhhh this is sooooo beautiful. And warm. And cosy. And the most perfect thing to keep me warm on my wedding day ever.

Kate knows how it is. Look at her, all fabulous in her angora shrug.

Now I know it’s Alexander McQueen, but Kate is known for shopping at high street stores so let’s just pretend that she did get it from Monsoon and I have the same one. Because that is awesome and makes me feel even more special.

And if anyone else wants to snatch up one of these beauties whilst they’re back in stock, head over to Monsoon! (They ship to the US!)

Did you need anything extra to keep you warm on your wedding day?
